In my opinion, Baner (or Pune in general) sucks. One evening, I had my dinner it was the usual Triple Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice from the restaurant I loved eating from. I kind of felt very bloated that evening, so I went out for a walk, coke and a Havmor sundae icecream. I’m telling you, the havmor choco chip sundae Ice cream with coke is a very good combo and you’re gonna love it too. I can assure that.

I walked to the nearby Wellness Medical, bought a 250ml coke and the ice cream. It was 11 PM so the shop beside was closed. I went to the side and sat on the stairs of that shop. There were a lot of asianpaint buckets in the corner, so I’m guessing it was a Paint shop. I opened the ice cream lid and took a bite at it followed by the coke.

The whole point of me going out and having my favorite combo was because I wanted to sit somewhere peacefully and think of where I’m going to live for the next few months. There was enough amount of stress about that thing within me. Because, I am in probation period at the new job and I did not want to pay for a 1BHK apartment, so I was hunting for a PG very badly. It was a very tiring day after checking out 4 pg’s in one evening and I was honestly very very frustrated.

I sat scooping, sipping and let my thoughts do their job. All of a sudden a memory flashed in front of my eyes. It was a moment of mine when I was a 7 year old lad. It was a fine sunday morning, I think I was just casually playing with him. Like the usual tradition, “SaReGaMaPa” show was being played on the TV. My parents loved listening to the kids in that show. If you ask, I’d honestly say that, yes those kids had talent but they god damn did a lot of acting. I mean, you can sing a good song while standing loose or straight. But nah, they had to do these weird actions with their hand as if they are helluva professional with experience. I think they were taught the body language to sing in at the stage, because It was kind of a recorded reality show. I really don’t know if those kind of shows are still played on the TV. I don’t know, it’s been 3-5 years since I have dedicatedly sat in front of the TV to watch some show. So, this show was a sunday tradition in our house during the breakfast when I was a kid.

My father would often play with me with some toys. I had decent amount of normal toys, never got those RC toys or a gameboy. I did not even know anything like a gameboy existed back then, so, just keep the high standard XBOX out of your mind. We also had a cheaper version of lego, which was a house model. There was this specific toy, I used to be hella scared about. It was a wind-up crocodile. He’d roll the key for some time and then send that crocodile walking towards me. I used to be very scared about it. The way it walked towards me, it’s pricky skin and long mouth scared me a lot.
